Anthony Hussey – Irish Arbitrator Dublin

Arbitrator, Dublin, Ireland, Anthony HusseyAnthony Hussey is a partner in the firm of Hussey Fraser Solicitors. He has been involved both as an advocate and as an arbitrator in hundreds of arbitrations, both domestic and international. He has been appointed as arbitrator by the Chairman of the Institute of Arbitrators (Irish Branch), the President of the Law Society of Ireland and the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris. All of his awards have been reasoned and none have been challenged. He became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 1990 and obtained a diploma in International Commercial Arbitration (winning the Cedrick Barklay Prize for award writing) in 1996. He was designated a Chartered Arbitrator by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2003. He was born in 1949.

As a practising lawyer Anthony Hussey’s main expertise is in construction law. Outside of that field however he has been involved in a number of disputes requiring a knowledge of commercial law.

Mr. Hussey is currently a member of the committee of the Irish Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the Law Society Arbitration & Mediation Committee. He has spoken at numerous seminars on arbitration, construction conciliation and construction related matters. He is co-editor and co-author Construction Projects: Law & Practice published by Thomson Reuters (ISBN: 978-1-85800-473-0). He lectured for four years on the Law of Contract and Tort in a post graduate course at Trinity College, Dublin.
